The easiest and tastiest Red Chilli Chutney.
This recipe was shared by my dear friend Nisha who says this is often made by the people of Kerala. A different version can be made with green chillies in which you add vinegar instead of tamarind.
- Dry roast whole red chillies in frying pan on a low flame for 2 to 3 minutes and keep aside once done. With a mortar and pestle / blender add in the roasted red chillies and chopped shallots/ small red onions
- Partially grind this as this need to be coarse. Add tamarind juice, ,red chilli powder, salt and couple of spoons of hot water .
- When they all mixed up add couple of spoon of coconut oil to it . The chutney is now ready to serve .
