- Sugar
- 200 gms
- Khoya
- 1 Cup
- Almonds

- Silver foil leaf
- 1 a pinch
- Saffron

Lauki/Bottle Gourd halwa is a traditional Indian sweet or dessert made with fresh red carrots, milk and sugar. An all time favourite for any occasion.
- Wash Lauki thorougly and peel them and Grate them to medium thickness
- Take a heavy bottom pan, add the lauki,milk with saffron dissolved in it. Cook on medium heat until all the milk is absorbed.
- Add ghee, cardamom powder anf fry keeping flame medium for about 5 minutes stirring continously.
- add sugar and stir for another 5 minutes until sugar is dissolved.
- Add Khoya and keep cooking until the ghee starts coming up or the mixture starts leaving the sides.
- Garnish with desired Almonds , Silver foil leaf and serve warm
